To all our valued staff, contractors, site teams, and partners,
We want to reassure you that, following Bolsover District Council’s decision on 28 July 2025 to bring the services and staff of Dragonfly Development and Dragonfly Management back in house, all Repair & Maintenance, current and planned project delivery will continue as scheduled.
The decision, made after an independent review and with the long-term interests of the district in mind, will mean that the Dragonfly group (Dragonfly Management (Bolsover) Limited, and Dragonfly Development Limited) will no longer operate as a separate entity. However, this will not happen immediately and, in the interim, our expertise, and commitment to high-quality delivery will remain unchanged. The Dragonfly Group is committed to delivering Bolsover District Council’s vision and operates with transparency and collaboration at the core of operations.
It is anticipated that the transition will be completed by 31st March 2026, however the Council will be undertaking comprehensive due diligence to ensure the process is managed appropriately for all concerned.
We understand that continuity and clarity are essential for your work and ongoing relationships with our staff teams. Please be assured:
All ongoing construction and regeneration projects will proceed without interruption.
You will continue working with the same teams and contacts you know and trust.
There are no plans to reduce staff or halt any services.
Dragonfly is proud to uphold excellent standards, whilst adapting to local aspirations and acting as the economic and environmental driver for the local area. As well as facilities management and oversight of commercial property hubs, key successes over the last 18 months have included the completion of a number of local housing developments, undertaking over 18,000 repairs to the Councils housing stock, delivery of business grants programmes, launch of a new Place Programme and project management of substantial projects such as the Shirebrook Crematorium and £15million regeneration investment programme.
We do not expect any changes to be made until staff consultation, and further mapping of services, has been undertaken.
If you have any questions about the transition or ongoing work, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your usual Dragonfly contact.
We thank you in advance for your support and patience during this transition.
