Roseland Park and Crematorium is a major new multi-million-pound facility currently under construction near Shirebrook in Derbyshire, England. The project is a partnership between Bolsover District Council, Shirebrook Town Council, Dragonfly Development Ltd, and Benchmark Architects, with the aim of providing a dignified, modern environment for cremations and memorial services.

Key features of the development

  • State-of-the-art facilities: The site will include a large ceremonial hall, a dedicated on site café and events venue, landscaped peace gardens, tranquil water features, and a kiosk for refreshments and floral tributes. The design prioritises both functionality and a respectful, serene atmosphere for bereaved families.

  • Connection with nature: The development reflects a strong commitment to environmental sustainability, and features extensive landscaping, wildflower meadows, and the planting of over 130 trees and nearly 300 meters of native hedging.

  • Community impact: Once completed, the facility will be the only crematorium in the district, providing a much-needed local service and reducing the need for residents to travel long distances. The project will also create new jobs and training opportunities for the local community.

With flexible spaces, modern amenities, and a focus on environmental stewardship, Roseland Park and Crematorium is set to become a landmark facility for the region.

We are now excited to be working with Paragon People to recruit for three vital roles; establishing standards of care, professionalism, and compassion that will define the Crematorium service for years to come.

You will be employed by Shirebrook Crematorium LLP (trading as Roseland Park and Crematorium).
