Dragonfly Management is proud to partner with Bolsover District Council in delivering transformative initiatives funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF). Our collaborative efforts are enhancing the district's economic landscape, fostering sustainable growth, and supporting local businesses and communities.

Empowering Local Businesses with the Net Zero Innovation Programme

In alignment with the UKSPF Investment Plan, our Year 1 project with Nottingham Trent University spearheaded the Hyper-Local Net Zero Innovation Programme (NZIP). This initiative provided Bolsover-based businesses with:

  • Monthly networking events, workshops, and seminars focused on Net Zero.

  • One-on-one support for developing and implementing decarbonisation plans.

  • Access to academic research, expertise, and facilities for testing new technologies.

  • Opportunities for knowledge exchange between businesses and academic institutions.

  • Assistance in engaging with industry bodies and other Net Zero initiatives.

This programme, funded by the UK Government through the UKSPF, ran until March 2025 and equipped local businesses with the skills and knowledge needed to achieve Net Zero goals. We are now looking ahead to a continuation into year 2, to ensure Bolsover is set apart as a centre for Net Zero innovation.

Supporting Business Growth and Innovation

Through the Business Growth Grant Scheme, we have been offering

grants ranging from £1,000 to £10,000 to help established businesses (trading for over 18 months) in Bolsover District:

  • Expand operations and create jobs.

  • Increase productivity and turnover.

  • Introduce new products or services.

  • Enhance carbon efficiency.

  • Adopt digital solutions and new technologies.

  • Develop local supply chain relationships.

  • Access new clients or markets.

  • Relocate to premises within the district.

Revitalising Bolsover Town Centre

Bolsover District is set to receive £15 million in government funding to rejuvenate its town centre.

  • Enhancing public spaces with improved signage, pavements, and street furniture.

  • Upgrading shop fronts to attract visitors and boost the local economy.

  • Purchasing vacant retail units to create spaces for new businesses or expansion of existing firms.

  • Developing cultural and community hubs to enrich the town's heritage and visitor experience.

These projects aim to create a vibrant and thriving town centre that benefits residents, businesses, and visitors alike.

Green Generation: Empowering Youth for a Sustainable Future

Dragonfly Management is collaborating with Bolsover District Council to support the Green Generation initiative, which aims to engage young people in environmental and sustainability efforts across the district. This initiative includes the establishment of a Youth Advisory Board, providing opportunities for individuals aged 18–25 to participate in shaping local environmental projects. Members will receive training, gain real-world experience, and contribute to developing a sustainable, inclusive, and healthy voluntary and community sector in Bolsover.

Ongoing Commitment to Excellence

Dragonfly Management remains dedicated to delivering these initiatives with excellence, ensuring that the UKSPF investments lead to tangible benefits for the people and businesses of Bolsover District. We continue to work closely with Bolsover District Council and our partners to drive forward regeneration, innovation, and sustainable growth across the region.

"Delivering lasting impact through innovation, investment, and collaboration."
